...Now we jump ahead to the party. Last year Jordi had the FMF party on a Tuesday night, we had our "Meet the mineral curators" party on Thursday night, so this year Jordi suggested we blend our evening into the Thursday night since so many folks would be attending both anyway. We booked the whole restaurant, something Casa Vicente has never done in it's 9 years.
This is an invitation only party, and for the most part people stuck to just the invitee list. We had 58 RSVPs from the Society of Mineral Museum Professionals so it was well attended by our standards! Many FMF regulars were there, such a fun crowd! There were miners, collectors and dealers too. All in all we had around 185 people come to enjoy the evening.
