Nice little assortment of brachiopods, crinoid stems, gastropods and other bits and pieces. All marine animals as well. How far from the ocean are you?

He is in Illinois. So about 1500 miles or more from an ocean. Doesn't matter, the land in southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, southern indiana are mostly limestone and very fossiliferous. As a first grader, I collected many crinoid fossil samples in Southern Indiana while we lived in Louisville, KY.
