Back to our house for lunch and some mineral photography of a few pieces of ours.

The last photo, we took Joaquim to the airport this morning so he can attend the NYC mineral show. He will meet with his wife, Eloisa, soon! He was great fun, we had some good times and chats, despite the slight language barrier.

Gail,
Thanks for the "behind the scenes" look. Joaquim is amazing -- his setup is so deceptively simple looking and he produces studio quality photos with it in less than ideal conditions.

You are welcome. I am a big believer in sharing experiences and showing the "fun" side of the mineral world too. Thanks for your continuous support, by the way, you have always been very sweet.

Hi Gail,
I like the pyrite-entrance. The walls and ceiling are nice as well, with the minerals "growing" on them. The massive gold plates (I suppose nuggets aren't the right word here) are very very very (etc.) nice! I would almost commit a murder to have one of those in my collection. I especially like the expression on your, Jims and Marks face!

Thanks

Mark
