I found myself in Appleton, Wisconsin this morning, preparing to present an award for bicycle friendly business to Kimberly Clark Corporation. Appleton is the home of the late John F. Barlow, a famous mineral collector. I had asked my host to drive me past Barlow's home last night and got a decent night time shot, hoping not to scare the current owners!
After my bicycle presentation and bike ride with 400 Kimberly Clark employees as well as the CEO, I found I had a little bit of time, before flying home to Texas, to go see some of Barlow's pieces in the University of Wisconsin.
We had called ahead and a wonderful fellow, Gary Richards, met us there. Seems he knew who I was and wanted to show me around.
Getting my photos organized and am about to post a few....
