I have just joined this group, so please excuse me if you have already addressed this specimen somewhere else, but, is this from the Blanchard Mine, NM?

Sorry for the confusion. I lost my internet connection before I had a chance to add the locality. Fixed now. Those of you who guessed Blanchard Mine are correct.
Lastly, welcome to the group Stan.

Aside from the classic locality at Bristol, Connecticut, the Flambeau Mine in Wisconsin is generally considered to have produced the finest well-crystallized chalcocite in the United States. During the short 5-year production period, collectors enjoyed the ready availability of many beautiful chalcocite specimens. Soon after production ceased the location was backfilled and revegetated.
