Patrice,
I'm not sure but your last photos looks to me as a kind of mix up. Are you sure that the photo: Wulfenite Boulmaden 2,5cm.JPG is not from Red Cloud Mine?.
About the locality of Bouhlmaden, is a name of a place in Mibladen where large and deep reddish-brownish Vanadinite appeared. I never hear about Wulfenite there, but why not?. Anyway is always Mibladen, just a specific place there.

Hi Jordi,I have not mistaken about localities.
Thanks for telling me more infos about Boulmaden.
The guy who sold me the specimen told me it was 2-3 km near Mibladen, and The shape is really different to what I am used to see from Mibladen.

I 'm trying to continue a good tn collection...
Here is the last specimen, from MSH.
I like this cute Serandite
I have received other specimens from the same place, but not as terrific as I hoped.

With regards to your question about the Rogerley Fox Pocket, it might make sense to contact UK Mining Ventures and ask them for more about it. I cannot recall that pocket, but they have found many over the last 10 years.

It can be a good idea.
I think if they have found similar crystals they will remember, because of the "round lines"
thanks a lot!

Hi Garchin,
I use paint to do a good color to the background, because there are some faults on the original photo,What I like is to display the photo on a black screen,to see only the mineral specimen,or knife or flower...
That's why I use paint for the background.
I have seen other technics:mineralman on ebay puts some grey and black, but only when he shots the mineral,it looks really good.
I would like to do so,especially for black minerals, that are not terrific on a black background.
If I arrive to do so,I can keep a grey parcel, and paint in black the black parcel,I will try.

Hi Patrice,
Your photographs are excellent. I was wondering how many lights do you use? And what kind are they?
In particular, Fluorite tends to be hard to photograph, but you definitely got good shots. And all the minerals are quite nice as well. ;=)
Thanks for sharing.
Bob

thanks for your reply,it makes me happy.
I don't know I use natural light or 4000k Fluorescent light, but this one is not terrific for the moment.
I use to put the mineal on a black background,on the balcony at my girlfriends home,or near the window when I'm home.
I have seen that a big sunny day is not good for pics,it brings too much light.
That because of the weather that I try to use artificial light.
The most difficul to me is red and blue color,I'm sure the apparel can see UV and infras, and change them to visible light on the pic.

I try to have light from up,above the mineral,to give shadows on the bottom, but sometimes I use papers to add deepness(good word?"relief" "profondeur"en français)

Hi Patrice. I'm enjoying your minerals. Your photographs thereof are really good. It's because you put a lot of effort into it.
Your Chinese mimetite, the one with the greenish tips, reminds me of some that came out of Les Farges, there in France. These are green, with light yellowish tips. Last gasp of the mineralizing/altering solutions.
Here's a photo, just for comparison. This is my specimen, but the photgraph was taken by Karl Warning, in Texas.
If you have one of these, I'd like to see your photograph of it, just for comparison.
A plutard,
Ed

Holy Cow Jordi!!!!
Thanks for the photos. I'm stunned and amazed. These specimens are under-appreciated, I think. You guys there closer to the source have seen many more of them than I have. I had no idea they could be so good....
Thanks for sharing. I hope we'll be seeing many more of them as the Euros I mean European collectors weigh in. (There's a joke on two levels, right there).
Saludos desde Kingman
Ed

...by the way, Patrice, I think the word you are searching for "profondeur" is "depth." Thanks for sharing the great photos.
