Great one! But I guess you don't throw people as human sacrifices from the top of it just because it reminds of an Aztec pyramid? ;-)

Ha ! Thanks for writing, Tobi. I hope you are well.

Don

Hi Don,
You have a great and diverse collection, what Dave Wilber would likely call a "true" collection. I always enjoy seeing the new beauties you "unearth" for us to be able to enjoy. I particularly like your Emerald that you posted on page 46, the etchings on that fine specimen are truly awe-inspiring. Hopefully I can collect fine minerals like that throughout this hobby. I started pretty young, around age 19 and have only been at it for a little less than a year. And let me tell you, I really enjoy seeing your collection even if it is just through a 12"x15" computer screen. Thanks so much for sharing with this lovely community what beautiful nature masterpieces you can spread a perfect spotlight on! :)

Thanks, Tobi. What do you think I can do to improve it?

Would a lighter background help?

Don

I think either a black or a white background would add more contrast and the crystal would look more impressive. But I know about the struggle with some specimens, and transparent beryls can be ***holes when it comes to shooting photos :-( But IF you are willing to try again, black or white should look better than grey.

Good luck :-)
