Wonderful journey yesterday in Ste. Marie. A lot of visitors, a lot of activity and, and, and... the visit of one of the most well known team of collectors in the world: the team Gail & Jim Spann!
I'm publishing the photos below on behalf of Gail till she gets better internet connection. Gail promised to publish hundreds of photos of their experience. This is their first time at Ste. Marie.

I met Jordi for the first time in his booth.
What a kind person.
We both agreed that the word to describe this show is" overwhelming", particularly for me: it was the first time to attend a show like this. The eyes were tired.
On Saturday, after 5 hours cruising from the swimming pool to the theater, to the numerous tents, it was time to have a beer (they still had to lot Fiebre Verde);
Sunday morning with less people and after a good night, it was easier to appreciate the beauties.
Some pictures here, (not the best specimens perhaps but they caught my eyes).

After the visit of the Show of Ste-Marie 2017, I propose some photos.
In the first place, a historical calcite of Des Cloizeaux highlighting a new form for the time.
I suggest to Pete Richards to explain this crystal to us by a drawing.

if a moderator could change the size of the specimen on the photo 5537: it is 20cm
and the 5536 is instead 40cm
I can not remember if the second hematite is in fact from Dalnegorsk ? it looks Alpine to me.

Phillippe, Nice pix! In your very last picture of the galena you say "surely" from the Tristate district. Does that mean you are not absolutely positive?? If so, I agree as the specimen could also very well be from the Viburnum Trend mining district in Missouri. BOB

One of the things that helps to better understand the atmosphere of the Shows are the reviews of the local newspapers. Thanks to the help of Pina and Gérard Schneller we can see the vision of the St. Marie Show of the local newspaper DNA

As for this galena, I agree, it looks like a Viburnum Trend specimen.
While shooting I did not record all of the localities :) mesmerized by the beauties
