Copper from Ray Mines, Hot Tamale Peak, Mineral Creek District, Pinal Co., Arizona, USA.
Specimen acquired at Expominerales Madrid 2018 from Jordi who got it from Carles Curto.
Mr. Curto has been mineralogy curator in the Barcelona´s Geology Museum for more than thirty three years.
This specimen shows in the backside the Curto´s code (1972.15) and also includes two labels, one of them handwritten by Curto and the other one with his detailed overview.
“Copper arborescent aggregate with poorly defined crystals and an elongated prominent one”.
Mined in 1972. Ex Anthony J.W., Ex Williams S.A., Ex Bideaux R.A. (1977) - Ex Bideaux R.A., Ex Wallace T.C. (1997), Ex Joan Montal, Ex Carles Curto.
Overall size: 46mm x 49mm x 16mm. Crystal size: 24mm x 6mm x 3mm. Weight: 57 g.
