Hello.
I hope you are all well.
When I saw this quartz in an old Alpine collection on sale at first sight I was attracted to the Japan law twinnning, rare in Alpine quartzes.
Immediately afterwards I was amazed by an even more curious phenomenon: a second deposition of silica in a very selective way, for which I have not yet found an explanation.
Any suggestions are welcome.
Best greetings and stay safe.
Sante

Hello, Rob. Thank you very much. I appreciate your comment.
Now I'm somewhat disconcerted because I've to post a specimen that is the twin of one of yours, for size and shape. And, although the locality is not the same, however it is not so far from that of your specimen. We have the satisfaction of sharing the same taste.
Warm greetings from Tuscany and take care.
Hello, Tobi. Thanks for your kind words.
Here is another one, bigger and more unusual because of the paragenesis.
I hope you find it interesting.
Best greetings. Stay safe.

Hello Sante, so we are both lucky to have them! Beautiful piece!
Greetings from Holland where at last the sun is shining.

Wow, that's a KILLER SPECIMEN!!! As a quartz collector, I would consider this a superb centerpiece for any collection, very impressive.
I also love the giant almandine :-)
Stay safe and keep on posting your minerals!
