PostPosted: Nov 17, 2020 10:04    Post subject: Green rock?

Hello I found a massive rock that looked like a aerolite in Bedfordshire. I carried it back, it was huge. I've now smashed it up. Could you tell me what the green rock is? I've also attached a picture of the rock it came from.

There are a lot of pieces, the rock was about 40cm diameter
It's green, quite dark. Is quite brittle, like glass almost.

Many thanks in advance, happy to answer any queries.

Hoping that it imbues me with some kind of space powers so that'd be good to hear.

This is glass slag, no mineral and no extraterrestrial rock.

yes, its absolute trash. enjoy. you can see a bottle top in the mess. I guess you "discovered" this where a garbage dump was. its clearly crushed glass and fused from fire which used to be common practice at garbage dumps to burn the trash piles to reduce the size and smell, making room for more trash. eventually the land is left to overgrow and be sold off for construction of new housing.

What am I supposed to do with it Steve? 😂

What a shame, I thought I'd made it.
Have you ever found anything pal?

Are you sure it's not emerald? Or Kriptonite?
