I wish I would have found this Titanite by myself! Up to now, I was not lucky enough. So I had to buy it, but I got it for a reasonable price.
I know the museum Kirchler, a very fine exhibition!

In reminescence of my studies, few days ago I visited the area where I started geological mapping for my PhD thesis. At this time - now 43 years ago - I accidentally found one piece of Siderite crystals and one with Aragonite (which are still in my collection!). I decided to search, if I could find the origin of these pieces. And I did! New roads in the forest created new outcrops, in which I observed some veins with Quartz, Siderite and sometimes Baryte. Rarely small hollows are present, that contain the small but nice crystals. Extremely rare are Aragonite needles. The Quartzes are sometimes double-ended.

Yes, Tobi, I am really happy with these pieces. This region normally is crystal-barren, though there has been an old copper mine, that is said to be covered by a giant landslide. I cannot verify this landslide and will look for possible dumps or even a mine entry in the future. Maybe, there are even crystallized fahlores or chalkopyrite in the small hollows! A nice project for the future...
