Out of interest just to throw another MORPH into the mix I did find two Epimorphs in my collection.
Don't ask me what an Epimorph is lol

My galena cast after calcite from Bulgaria has some thin flakes of calcite in some areas. Where there is none there are curved striations on the galena surfaces and rounded edges indicating dissolution. One surface even has pitting.
The quartz crystals are sharp, and the sphalerite aren't quite so. I suspect a human hand helping the cast to appear.

You don't need acid to dissolve fluorite, because fluorite is very slightly soluble in plain water! ...a few tens of milligrams per liter of water. So if you put a fluorite crystal into running water, after a few days you'll see surface etching, and after a few months it will be gone.
