Hi Marco,
No, I have never been to Pulpi, or anywhere else in Almería. Definitely gypsum beds in Archidona, which are quite widespread in several parts of Archidona. In the northeast part there are brown and black authigenic "floater" quartz crystals in the gypsum, no spherules, and in the southwest part we found gypsum with the spherules (with appearance remarkably similar to the ones that started this discussion) and no individual crystals.
(I should add here that Mindat's descriptions of minerals and sublocalities in Archidona is ridiculously incomplete. I will try to add a few things when I have time.)

Sorry Alfredo, my comment comes from the fact that gypsum does not appear on the mindat page. Maybe you can add it.
