PostPosted: Jan 20, 2008 18:41    Post subject: New Amethyst scepter and smoky quartz crystal locality

Hi I found a new site for amethyst scepters and smoky quartz crystals here in BC Canada. The site is located at 6500 feet elevation above Passmore BC in the Norns Range of the Selkirk Mountains. The crystals are found in well defined cavities in granite and what amazes me is that I find several different colors of quartz crystals along with many different habits. I have found elestials, twins, scepters, reverse scepters and long thin crystals. The most common crystals at the site are clear, followed by smoky, amethtyst and citrine, as well some of the crystals have exceptional phantoms and some have golden rutile and magnatite inclusions. I found the site two years ago and I claimed the surrounding area, I named the site the clearview claim for there is a very good view from the main diggings. If anyone wants more info please dont hesitate to contact me.
