Description:

An aggregate of pinkish-red trona crystals to 3.5 cm. Trona is a rare carbonate that is usually golden brown. This piece gets its color from the same haloalkaliphilic bacteria that cause the pink color in halite from Searles Lake and this location. Collected in 2022.
