Your malachites are really top notch.
I hope your kids were careful if they took your specimens to school.

My son also carried one large vanadinite and he brought three small vanadinites…
But if one of those kids fell in love with the minerals it was worth it.

Rhodochrosite, Quartz and Sphalerite from Austria Duvas Mine, Morococha, Yauli Province, Junín Department, Perú.

Really difficult for me to get the real Pink color. I´ve taken five or six photoshoots and I´m not happy with the result but this is one of the best attempts.

 Dimensions: 78 mm x 62 mm x 55 mm
 Description:
Botryoidal growths of Rhodochrosite crystals, with luster and a more intense and vivid pink color than usual in pieces from this deposit. Small water-clear and lustrous crystals of Quartz are also present with aggregates of Sphalerite microcrystals.
Many flashes are visible due to small Quartz tips.
Mined in 07/2021.

The dealer, someone familiar for us, has sent me a copy of the analysis of this type of specimen due to its genetic complexity.

Small cluster from Navajún with three Pyrite crystals, one of them is a cube with mirror-like faces and perfect edges with the same length, the second is a pseudo-cube, and the last one is a right rectangular prism that has eight truncated corners.

This mine was opened in 1968 and extracts different quartz qualities, the highest purity is destined to manufacture photovoltaic panels.
