Something that we believe will be of interest both from the scientific point of view and from the collecting point of view, considering the potential that this Moroccan deposit seems to have.
Two geologists who at the same time are mineral collectors remind us that Geology has its own laws and that its distance scale is not like ours.

MOROCCO, LIGHT, SHAPE and COLOUR
Antonio P. López Cabello and Carles Manresa Pla
Talking about Morocco in a mineral context equates to the title of the following article. In a country so rich, geologically speaking, where the search for minerals is incessant, some specimens were discovered this past year that, just like the global pandemic, will leave their mark.
But since geology does not respect political borders, if we expand the field of view a little across to the opposite shores of the Alboran Sea, a distance of more than 100 km, the geology - capricious as it is - can give us similar mineral wonders.
Ultimately, prospecting is the human factor which, sometimes, leads to finding these wonders. What geology "cultivates" over millions of years suddenly appears on the surface. Only tenacity, patience, continuous search, and the determination to clarify the origin of the minerals, something not simple when it comes to Morocco, allows us to publicize and disseminate a find like the one presented here.
We hope you enjoy reading this, and the beauty that geology has in store for us.
This type of 'magazine’ display that we often use in this section does not allow photos to be enlarged by clicking the mouse on them. The solution to enlarge the screen is to use the keys: Ctrl + mouse wheel. By turning the wheel and holding the Ctrl (Control) key we can enlarge the image at will.

We got some photos from Jordi Fabre of the area around the Tourmaline diggings near Beni Bouzra in Morocco. As can be seen in the photos, these are not real mines but just prospects in surface outcrops. Such diggings are reminiscent of the work done on the Pereña pegmatites in Salamanca, Spain. Blackish crystals of Schorl can be recognized in some photos, partially covering the rock
