The actual situation is the same as it was: https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=1474#1474

I had a talk with Les and Gail in Tucson and both said that they would love to visit the collection as well as Barcelona city. Of course is not easy to manage a trip like this with a group, so we should let Les to work on it. I assume that if he arrive to manage the trip, he will announce here and then Xavier, Peter and James could join the group.

Also, as before the end of this year an article with photos about the Folch collection will be published in the Rock & Minerals magazine, then probably still more people could be interested to visit the collection...

Though the entire Folch collection is absolutely outstanding, this red fluorite from Switzerland is a class of its own: A nearly 20 cm matrix specimen of perfect red fluorite octahedrons from the Alps - this is one of the most aesthetic, most precious and most thrilling mineral specimens i've ever seen.

Hi everybody,

I just got a message from Rocks & MInerals saying that the Folch article is now posted in Rocks & Minerals magazine -> https://www.rocksandminerals.org/Back%20Issues/2009/November-December%202009/Folch-Mineral-full.html

Enjoy it!

Jordi,
I just finished reading the article on Sr. Folch's collection. Well done. And Joan's photos are superb. Thanks for the link.

Jordi

It is great to see it published and I cannot wait to get my copy on paper. It is good to see the photos along with the text that I had all that fun with!

Hello Tobias, after reading your glowing report on the Swiss fluorite I had to sort through and see it for myself. Yep, it is GOOD! Thank you for drawing my attention to it. Today. I'm feeling earthy so I will regard the Michigan copper, the one on the right !

Following the topic, I strongly recomend everybody to adquire the paper copy of the Rock & Minerals magazine ( https://www.rocksandminerals.org ) as it is much, much nicer than the version on line!...
