Hi Folks,
The French public television did a discovery report on Madagascar last year. The report visited the area where the famous garnets were found. They re-broadcasted the program yesterday. The program is thus available on replay for one week only at the following address :

(link normalized by FMF)
The report on the mine starts at 01:04:10
Don't know if you'll get access from abroad, but I think it is worth the try. Even if the comments are in French the video shows the area quite well.
Cheers

Hello,
There is a trick you can use. I assume you use Firefox, but it works with Internet Explorer as well. Go to the "settings" option inside the menu "Edit". Select tab "Advanced", then click on "parameters" button under "connection".
In proxy server configuration, select the fourth option "manual setting". In Proxy HTTP type : 91.121.202.135 and in Port : 3128
Firefox will now use a proxy server located in France for all its queries. You should then be able to access the stream. After watching the video don't forget to go back to the settings to check "No proxy" in the proxy server settings dialog box. Otherwise, you'll use this proxy for all your internet browsing, thus preventing you to access streams in the US...
Hope this helped
