Hello to all and Happy New Year,
I am a new member here and also new to rock collecting , just a few months. I am from Sudan, Khartoum (the capital). I am exited to be a member here as I want to learn more Minerals and Geology in general.

Hi Riccardo, you know as the saying goes (Bad news sells).
I posted some minerals photos but seems the quality of them aren't that good. Will update with more when I get a chance to the fields.

It is a pleasure for us to have somebody from this part of East Africa; and also especially for me because I am working in an Organization (Medicines Sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders) from Barcelona and daily I am being in contact with people from Karthoum.

And I can't tell how I love Khartoum especially in this season (Winter) where there is a good weather and sunny days and a lot of activities that attract specifically Tourists (it is unlike Spanish coasts for sure as there is no crowded beaches or hoards of tourists roaming the streets LOL) . But it is nice and warm and a lot of activities to keep you busy-exploring- this marvelous city and country.

Welcome to the Forum! Our weather here, in the Copper Country of Michigan, is much colder than in Africa. We have snow on the ground until mid-April.
