Hi
I bougth this sample of garnet.He comes from Ocna de Fier-Romania,and has dimensions 80X100mm. I think that is the variety ANDRADIT.Can you help me?

Correct, it is Andradite. Grossular was discredited for this locality.

I collected there last summer and yes, it is Andradite.

5x4.5x2.5cm
A similar piece.
Since I had taken this photo I cleaned up this piece a bit, removed some calcite and uncovered more Andradite crystals.
