Germany’s second-largest Land consists of very different terrains, both mineral-poor coastal areas and moorlands and famous mining places in the Harz Mountains, one of Germany’s most important traditional mining areas for many centuries.

"Duplicado liliput", fantastic!

St. Andreasberg is famous not only for silver minerals but for zeolites too. Stilbite crystal aggregates reached 7 cm (!), harmotome crystals 2 cm (Andreasberg is the type locality for harmotome; "andreasbergolite" is a very old name for that mineral), heulandites nearly 2 cm. Rare zeolites are analcime, chabazite, laumontite and gmelinite.

Beautifully twinned harmotome crystals. Not a micromount or a thumbnail (my favorite sizes), but I love the specimen!. Marv
