The plan of moving together with my girlfriend during the next months forced me to replace my former mineral showcases by a larger one that can host most of my display collection (~ 135 specimens). Here are some impressions of my collection after finishing the set-up in the new display:

| The whole display, filled with rocks and illuminated. |

| The upper part of the display: Layer 1 (garnets, tourmalines, beryls and some others), layer 2 (pyromorphites, wulfenites, apatites and some gem minerals), layer 3 (smoky quartzes, amethysts, mimetites and others). |

| Description: |
| Middle part with the 4th layer: Quartzes / rock crystals and many galena specimens. |

| The lower part: Layer 5 (other sulfides, vanadinites, calcites and some others), layer 6 (barytes and German fluorites) and last but not least layer 7 with my best international fluorites. |

No Pierre, there's a much simpler explanation for the origin of the display. Let me explain it in four letters: IKEA ;-)

And finally the last ones. Please excuse that the photo quality is not the best; but this was rather a test for the set-up of my new showcase than a specimen shooting. Feedback about how i arranged the collection in the new display is welcome :-)

i saw that my photos of the new display were moved to a separate thread. Good idea, but please could you chance my name in the topic from "Toby" to "Tobi", for there's no Y in my name ;-)
