I'm a 3D animator and instructor living in China, and I started collecting mineral specimens in mid 2009. Due to my busy working schedule, I have no chance to go to mineral shows like Tucson and Munich, so most of these specimens are bought from the internet. Thanks to who invented it ! :-)
I'd like to share some of my favorites with you. All pictures are photographed by myself.

|
Honey-colored gypsum crystals grow staggerly like petals around a spherical core with smaller gypsum crystals. The overall shape is like a sunflower. Collected in 2009.
Because of this specimen, I fell in love with mineral collection.

Pearly, silver-blue Celestine. The habit is so unusual: fine blades rotate through spheres.

The dendrites of silver are spread all over the black matrix of arsenic, for a strong contrast.

This specimen consists of a razor-sharp, pristine quartz crystal scepter. The crystal has pronounced purplish amethystine and smoky quartz crystal phantoms within. The crystal has gem clarity and also hosts some unidentified crystalline inclusions. The termination also hosts a tiny pair of quartz points prominently perched on top.
