Mineral dealer community,

One of our valued specimens loaned to the Colorado State Capitol was stolen from a display there two days ago. I have attached a photo of it. It is a cabinet sized specimen, around 9 inches in length, with nice euhedral rhodos. The fluorite was translucent green with decent luster, and little damage. The pink/green color combination is extremely distinctive.
Please notify me if this somehow appears in your workplace, or if you hear anything about it. We would much rather have the specimen back than to receive compensation from an insurance company.
Cordially,
Bruce

Or keep a look out for smaller specimens with the same features. There is a good chance that the specimen will be reduced to smaller specimens.

Yes James. One good thing of our hobby is that no one single specimen looks exactly like another. Like backing up data, it is wise to take good photos of your valued specimens. If the thief chops this one up, the smaller specimens should be recognizable.
