eBay is full of multi colored, red and yellow turquoise. Are these real? I even seen these stones in some stores at the jewelry counter. _________________ Daniel |

hi, Trtlman
As far as I have always seen, genuine turquoise (Persian ones in jewellery) are blue. Old ones weared maybe a hint of green (I think that probably due to staining with human body grease).
The ones crystallized ones are also blue.
Chinese turquoise are blue with black veins, or green with black veins. I think to remember that is called turquoise due to blue, but is not turquoise, but odontolite
American turquoise, a darker blue, is odontolite, not turquoise
Chinese are known to have sold big bubbly "turquoises", being a man made material (I thing magnesite dyed blue and varnished...)
So, yellow, red and all odd colors, maybe just same old trick with new dyes....
With best wishes
