Wonderful Wölsendorf piece, it has the best possible colour for "Honigspat" fluorite!

What a gorgeous combination from that classic locality! I really like minerals from Kazakhstan and especially from Kara-Oba, I have a nice 13 cm smoky quartz with bertrandite from there. But this one, 24 x 20 x 14 cm, that's superb!

Besides smoky quartz, bertrandite and pyrite, I think I see a fourth mineral on the specimen, what's the pale brownish material?

Thanks
Tobi

Thanks Tobi. The pale brownish material it seems to be a Carbonate but as I haven't analyzed it I don't listed it. It could be Calcite, Dolomite, Siderite or even a mix including Rhodochrosite. We could only know by analyzing it.

Thick tabular Fluorapatite crystals with a concentric color zoning, a kind of growth that at Panasqueira is well-known as 'olho de boi' (ox eye).
The Fluorapatite crystals are on matrix with crystals of Arsenopyrite, pale brown lenticular Siderite, Muscovite and Marcasite and they are fluorescent under both UV light.
