I have a small barite crystal from France. It has a locality on the label, but I think it is not spelled correctly. It reads "Four la Brougue, Aurergue" What is the correct locality?

It is not in the FMF database, but ours does tend to focus on Spain

Is a little bit more complex. Here we have a much smaller localities database than in Mindat but we try to have it as much 'clean' as we can and based in the FMFers needs. It means that when after a share from a FMFer of a locality, if this locality is not in our database and it is a valid locality, we create it immediately.
Currently Four-la-Broque is already in our data base and other future shares from the FMFers of any other non-listed locality will be added after a careful task of research.
BTW, in this case it takes some time for us to answer and create the locality due the similitude of the image of your Baryte to other Barytes from the Olloix area and we don't want to create a mistake. After talks with French connoisseurs, your piece effectively is from the Four-la-Brouque ravine and having their confirmation, we created that locality.
