PostPosted: Jan 14, 2025 01:21    Post subject: Book(s) about minerals for children ?

A few days ago, I was gifted the Spanish booklet Descubre los Minerales written by Estelle Talavera,
and published by Susaeta. It counts 69 pages size A5.
[Thank you, Don & Alinna!]

It has "Nivel 3", indicating it was written for children ages 10-11. But I have to admit I was truly impressed by its content & layout, and I am certain it will also inspire somewhat older children (12 to 112) that are getting into the hobby.

Does anybody know of an in print (in other words: recent)(English) book about minerals for children?

Cheers, Herwig
(PS: no need to answer again if you've already done so on Mindat)

Hi to everybody!
Another book I can advice you is "MineRari", by Marco Majrani and Valentina Quadrio. Unfortunately for many of you it's in Italian, but images and drawings are nice!
Greetings from Italy by Riccardo.

I just found a copy of another book I had already forgotten about:

Snowflake Bentley
by Jacqueline Briggs Martin, illustrated by Mary Azarian
Scholastic Inc. 1998, unnumbered pages (32 in total)

A children's book about Wilson Bentley, the man who devoted his life to photographing snow (ice) crystals.
