PostPosted: Feb 28, 2025 14:32    Post subject: Hello all, just wanted to confirm if Hardin, Elmwood or Mexican Fluorite  

I had gotten this fluorite from a local mineral show from a reputable dealer but I think this one was incorrect on the label. It was listed as "elmwood" on the provenance card. I went with that and I have looked at the mindat photos. I noticed it looked more like a Hardin than anything else. Someone else mentioned possibly Mexican? I do not think so. I just wanted to know if this is truly Hardin or even possibly Elmwood? Thank you all and am grateful for this forum.

I am not sure but it looks like your specimen may have "carthage corners" (lighter colored material in the corners). If so, then it probably is Elmwood.

Not clear windows but they are windows. Backlit it shines through. Thank you
