I think I am having problems with the white balance too. At least I got rid of the violet halos. A lot to learn and experiment still.

I have a lot of trouble understanding what evolution of minerals means. In fact I don't think the expression can be used at all, at least not in the sense as evolution works in living beings.

My copper specimen looks a lot like this one: wwwdotjohnbetts-finemineralsdotcom/jhbnyc/gifs/48856dothtm

It is described as a hackly mass of copper, so I guess there are no crystals.

The Copper is from Perú.
