Natural emeralds are easy to distinguish from man-made. The real ones are full of fluid inclusion which often are large enough to see without a lens, but certainly are visible with a 10 X.

Why don't you address your inquiry to IGL? I'm sure they can tell you whether your certificate is fake or authentic.
