Now these are good good pictures that do justice to a number of super gemstones and mineral specimens from the USA!

I remember reading somewhere that the milky white colorof the Suttrop quartz is due to inclusions of anhydrite. Can anybody confirm this?

It looks like Peter has found the hand lens of my dreams. I have ordered one a few minutes ago. If and when I get it, I plan to have iridium new plates ....
