Is there anyone that knows or be able to tell me if there is a way to differentiate between a smithsonite from El Refugio Mine and one from the Santa Anita Mine? It seems that specimens collected in 1990's were from the Santa Anita and the specimens collected more recently in the 2000's are from El Refugio. I can found references of Santa Anita Mine (Rosario) but nothing on El Refugio in the Mexican literature (Panorama minero del Estado de Sinaloa, Dec 2009).
So, is it just a name change for the same mine or two separate mines, same ore body, different ore body? If it is the all the same, what is the correct "locality"?
Any chance someone has some coordinates for each? or even surface maps?
thanks
