Jim and I hosted an evening event, right after the Society of Mineral Museum Professionals meeting, at a local restaurant and invited miners, collectors, dealers and our good friends as well as many of the Curator's from around the world.
Jim and I felt that it would be nice for everyone to meet and to enjoy some fine food and wine as guests of the Spanns. This was a private affair with about 100 plus people. What a great evening, something we are going to host again next year.

It's fun to see the newly added photos of the SMMP party (I wonder what I was telling Carl about in that photo!?) and to go back through all the pages of minerals and people - great memories!

Is your fourth "Golden Star" Gail, one from your Collection and three more from your Tucson's articles. In fact all your Tucson reports since 2010 has at least 100.000 reads. Is phenomenal, Congratulations! (again ;-)
