Hello friends. This is my first post here:)

I was curious to ask you guys if you have any ideas where to search for crystals In Nelson BC and surrounding areas? I have prospected out a few cool spots and found nice specimens behind Nelson, around (but not at exactly) the well known crystal creek/caves site. I will upload my top specimens asap. I just have to figure out how to upload pics with my iPhone to the forum.

I have been prospecting for gems and minerals in BC canada for over 15 years. Near Nelson BC I have found. amethyst crystals. smoky quartz crystals. aquamarine beryls. black tourmalines. iolite. garents (rhodolite and almandine) rose quartz. titanite (sphene) flourite and epidote. Most of the good sites around nelson BC are claimed so you will need to get permission from claim owners before rockhounding. a good spot to check is mineral titles online to see if a area you are interested in searching is claimed or not. check out some of my postings to see some pictures of amethyst and smoky quartz and beryls and iolte I have found in the slocan valley. hope this helps
