We did some tourist things in the area for one day (Monday). Jordi asked me to upload some of those photos as well. They may not be interesting to mineral people, but in case you are, they follow. The mineral pictures, from me at least, are done.
This first set of pictures are from Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg or Koenigsbourg Castle in Orschwiller, Alsace, France, just west of Sélestat.

Good evening
I went also to Sainte Marie aux Mines (first and probably only time; to drive 2000 km is a little much too much...)
I personally find Colmar a more nicer and from gastronomic point of view better. And far comfortable: a fly, that costs peanuts, and you could see the fair.
I saw Sainte Marie as clumsy (I was tempted to drive to Colmar again when I saw the lines of people waiting to park the car), no indications to find the fair (well, not easy to not find it)
hot, and apart for the photos that Mr. Simonoff placed, not too much to see (I was intrested by same as mr. Simonoff; even visit to castle. Not to monkeys.... :-( ; but we find a nice gastronomic restaurant in Colmar, and we get some wines.
And, the best, I was able to speak with Mr. Luiz Menezes...
I find also the wife of Mr. Kucera and Mr. Callen (well, how many catalans speaking ones were there.... :-) ) and we had a nice time.
Unable to find Mr. Petrov (my frustation)
All in all, for me, if any time Colmar is selected,. the fair will be interesting.
If not, well, Narbonne is better for me... (and a restaurant in Narbonne, Mel i Malo, is a must....So....)
