Thank you Ricardo
Always love hearing from Italy. I lived in Gaeta for 3 happy years. There are no evening strolls here in the US as there were back then in Gaeta, spending time in the cafes. A more civilized way of life!

Ich verstehen ein wenig Deutsche. Since acquiring CFT syndrome (constantly forgetting things) my language skills have deteriorated. I was dining with A German NATO officer once who commented on how few German descendants in America kept their language skills. I explained that many who came to this country in the 1930s felt their children needed to master English, I fear at the expense of the native tongue. Today with communications and travel the way it is things are different now and multiple language almost a requirement. I fear I missed out on this welcome trend so do the best I can with the handicap of CFT. Ich dnake Ihnen sher! Auf Weidershehn bis tag.

Thanks, i also love that Huangshaping specimen, it's one of the best mineral specimens I ever had ( https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/viewtopic.php?p=29580#29580 )
But which botryoidal one do you mean? I don't have any, because i DON'T like botryoidal fluorite.

And what about your Italian? You should remember a little of it, or of Roman dialect! Don't undervaluate the Italian language as "spoken just by one small country", at least because it is similar to Spanish, and Spanish is spoken by a whole continent close to you!
Greetings from Italy by Riccardo.

Is it possible to overvalue anything Italian? No I think not. Tutte Bene. I miss the passegiata every evening. This too we have no equivalent here in this country. Maybe Starbucks; but a poor substitute. We also do not have the pastiserias as it is not an art form here. Maybe in New York....
I ran into an Italian waiter in Anchorage Alaska of all places. He was from a town near where I had been. We spent much of the late hours reminiscing to the detriment of other customers! To keep on topic, I do have a lovely fluorescent quartz from La Sassa!!
Take care. Mark
