Since I started reading The Forum, it seems that I notice geometric shapes everywhere. I saw this pair recently. I was thinking were they dodecahedral, pyritohedral? They had a slightly metallic luster and partial coating with a rust-colored material, perhaps iron oxide. They were very symmetrical. They each had one brown face. However one of them had a "C- face" and the other an "H-face." They were flattened on the bottom. They were on private property so I left them there. ;-)

Thanks, Roger.
Mark, I didn't have a nail, piece of glass or warm vinegar with me, just my wife's cell phone :-)

I think Apple should put a short wave ultra violet light on the next version of the iphone.
That would come in handy.

And for some, a Geiger counter. (Perhaps this features could explain its price)

It seems that hardness of the water is easier to test! ;-)

Vitomorim and Volkmar, why not add a Raman Spectrophotometer and water tester to the iphone also?

Don't re-invent the wheel ;))
...There are already apps for measuring radiation with an I-phone.

Alfredo, what does this say about the world?? I suspect a larger meaning but it escapes me! Love the hat ornament. Where can I get one?

Alfredo,
I did not know that. Thanks.
I am more of an Android person than Apple.

Looking at the piece with the "C-face" , I detect what I have heard some dealers describe as "edge-wear" but it certainly does not detract from the overall aesthetics of the piece :-) :-) :-)

"Overall in good condition damagewise"... (also an often used statement on certain webpages):D
IIs it possible that such objects also have penetration twins of C and H (so-called W twins)?
