Thank you, Josele. I sincerely hope you can travel to Tucson for the show. It was an eye-opener for me. It was everything I had anticipated and more. If I understand correctly there were 400 dealers at the Pueblo Gem and Mineral Show at The Riverpark Inn and 300 dealers at the Tucson City Center (formerly The Inn Suites) and these were only two of forty-two shows going on in the two to three weeks beginning the end of January. I don't know how many dealers there were at the TGMS the last weekend. I think the motto of the Tucson Show should be "If we don't have it, you don't need it."

Good to hear from you, Pierre. Michael and Laura are very nice people and we had a great visit. I made it a point to seek out and meet as many FMF members as I could find. My second goal was to try to capture the spirit of the Tucson Show and thirdly to look for minerals to add to my collection. Please tell Riana I said hello.

Rocksaholics sponsored a series of lectures at the Pueblo Gem and Mineral Show. I missed the first two because I was not yet in Tucson. The first talk was Magmachem Exploration, "New Ideas on the Origin of Oil: A Herkimer Diamond Case History from New York." by Stanley Keith. The second talk was "Mindat and Its Uses" by Jolyon Ralph, Founder of Mindat. The first talk I heard was by Jeff Swanger, Owner and Operator of the Oceanview Mine on "Recent Workings at Chief Mountain." Dr David London Author of "Pegmatites" and Professor at the School of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Oklahoma spoke on " A Collector's guide to Pegmatites and their Minerals." Dr. Federico Pezzotta, Petrologist, Minerology Museum Curator, Museo Di Storia Naturale, Milan, Italy spoke on "Color Zoning in Multicolored Gem Tourmaline." Federico Barlocher, International videographer from Milan and prominent dealer of high quality unheated Burmese gems spoke on "Mogok Myanmar ( Burma): A Secret Overview of the Most Famous Mining Area for Colored Stones in the History of Gems." Bryan Swoboda, President of Blue Cap Productions was present to film the lectures in their entirety that will be available online.
