Like Tim up above, I don’t post very often to FMF, but I want to join the others in thanking you for such an enjoyable account of the show. You’ve put a lot of time, effort and care into creating it, and it shows.

Among the pages and pages of jaw-dropping treasures, I was floored by the crinoid (?) fossil in photo 1060398 on this page. I don’t collect fossils and normally don’t pay them much mind, but this is truly spectacular. It must have taken hundreds of hours to prepare. Do you remember the approximate size of the specimen?

Chris, that criniod is about six feet tall, one of the finest ever found from Germany. It was part of a suite fossils that I helped move as fork lift operator, as was the Ichthyosaur seen here, which is about ten feet long.

Hi Vic--thanks for the reply and for the careful forklift work. I hope this one ended up (or stayed) with a museum where others can enjoy it. The ichthyosaurs are also incredible. They're enough to make a fossil collector out of me.
