This thread is related with the main thread: Collection of Tobi
Finally, there are some new specimens that I can present here. I'm still busy getting good photos, but this here is a "teaser" ;) I guess you all know that feeling when you got new minerals for your collection, when you take photos of them, make your own labels for them, make database entries for them and most of all - when you enjoy to put them into your display. And while I'm still working to integrate them into my collection (I discard other specimens and replace them by these better ones), I want to share this pictures which expresses the feeling of a pleased collector who is happy to add some new stuff to his collection:
Mineral: | Fluorite (England), Pyrite/Quartz (Mine, Peru), Smoky Quartz (Switzerland) |

And while I'm shooting the new specimens on display, I thought I could share some impressions of the collection, starting with some other fluorites (label size 35 x 20 mm):

Hi Tobi,
Per our last improvement New Data Base of localities within the FMF! ALL photos of minerals SHOULD have name of the mineral, normalized localities and sizes. For collages or groups of minerals we can do some exception but only in threads that aren't going to the FMF Gallery, that's why I moved these posts to this section creating a new thread with them.
Thank you for the understanding.

Jordi, I made the mistake to think that photographs of mineral specimens together with label would replace the usual information, sorry. And thus I understand fully that these posts were separated, no problem!

Hi Tobi, you have a wide range of nice specimens there. Thanks for letting us see them.
I like the last specimen; the West Pasture Mine fluorite.
Cheers!
Mike

Thanks, Mike! Here's a better photo of the specimen: https://www.mindat.org/photo-552159.html

Tobi I like how you picked out some of the finer specimens. I really like the Rogerly Mine Fluorite , Dalnegorsk Fluorite (I have one myself) , Haune var Lazurite , Sicilian Sulfur/Sulphur , Peruvian Rhodochrosite (looks like a Sweet Home Mine crystal).

Hi Vitaliy,
I'm glad you like the specimens. And you're right, the rhodochrosite from Peru looks like a Sweet Home specimen. Rather unusual because most of the Uchucchacua rhodos are scalenohedral and only a few are rhombohedral like that one. But is't too bad that is IS not from Sweet Home Mine - the value would be tremendously higher :-)

Tobi, what is more interesting about it is the colour of the specimen itself. Usually Uchucchacua Rhodochrosite is also more dark or blood red. I have seen a few similar photographs on Mindat so I don't doubt the locality.
Out of curiosity though do you mostly acquire these specimens from local dealers or over the internet as I noticed some of them have German dealer labels in the other topic.

The only exception is an apatite from Sapo Mine that has an English-written label by Luiz Menezes: https://www.mineral-forum.com/message-board/files/menezes_134.jpg - but even that specimen and its label came to me via a German dealer ;-)
