are you sure this is correct?
Also, please in the captions use the weight as "grams" or "gr." but not "g" and please locate it in the "File Comment" field, not in the "Dimensions (cm or mm)" field. Thank you. |
Dale foot workings, Mallerstang, North Pennines, Westmorland, Cumbria, England, United Kingdom,
Colin who collected this told me that's its from lower down the fell from Great bell

Should be spelt as Dalefoot Level, Great Bell, Mallerstang, Cumbria, England, UK.

It is not my intention to correct anybody, but according to the International System of Units (SI), the symbol for gram is a single letter "g" (without any trailing period except in the end of a sentence or a paragraph).
I can read in the Wikipedia that A bigger mistake is using the abbreviation "gr" for grams. The symbol "gr" stands for grains (which is equal to 64.79891 mg).
I hope this could help.

Glassy, penetration-twinned fluorite crystals to 1cm on matrix, second piece i have from this location along with a yellow sample
Glassy, untwinned crystals of pale green-purple fluorite on matrix. The largest crystal is 8mm on edge. From the Sutcliffe vein and not the Greenbank vein currently being worked by the mine's owners.

Sharp-edged, scalenohedral calcite crystals to 1.5cm on limestone matrix. They show strong pink/orange fluorescence under long-wave U.V
