The first day of my (so desired) vacations is the right time to close my columns about Ste. Marie 2015.
The general opinion I collected from the dealers about the results of the Show in terms of business was not so enthusiastic but curiously the opinions were completely different from collectors and visitors, they were highly enthusiastic! So, as said so many times before, Ste. Marie is something really special which carries a lot of joy to everybody, and share this joy seems the main reason which a small village in the lovely Val d 'Argent is devoted to a mineral Show during many months, as well as which the number of visitors of this Show is continuously increasing (approximately 28,000 visitors with entry this year, 8% more than last year) and which many dealers, even without a big (or even medium) profit, loves to attend every year this amazing Show, hidden in the "Coeur" of the Vosges.
If at least one time in your life you have the chance to attend this Show I promise it will be an experience ;-)

I am by no means an expert on mineral shows but I can only second Jordi's advice: Do attend the Sainte-Marie show once in your life! (preferably every year).
The food, the wine, the scenery, the friendliness and... oh yes, a few rocks here and there. No wonder why this year's show was a "happy edition".

OK Jordi, but now I devote myself (for other amateurs) to the record of the Ensisheim meteorites show which takes place a week before Ste Marie. This requires a work of interpretation of thin sections and writing.
There were fantastic meteorites this year too, but this is not the subject of this forum. Although the meteoritic rock minerals are often similar to terrestrial rocks, such as those that come from Vesta. Precisely petrology of Achondrites is very interesting.
