Carles,
The Peruvian Baryte has to be one of the nicest I have seen from there. The Chinese Pyromorphite is pretty nice too!

For Bob (GneissWare)
Hi!
Many thanks for your comments. But unfortunately the cleavages in the Baryte crystals make it less valuable.
You do have several superb pieces posted here. The Sweet Home Mine rhodochrosites, for instance, are exceptional. I envy you. Please, keep posting.

Wow, nice! I particularly like the back-etching (?) along the c-axis of the schorl. Quite beautiful. Did you get it at Munich, Carles? Keep 'em coming.

And why don't you post your photos at this forum for everybody to look at them? Please, come on!

Sure Carles. I was referring to specimen # 8282M.
I'll get around to posting some pictures in a bit, have a full plate just at the moment. And I'm trying to figure out how to affix my picture to my postings. Give me a little time. I'm still pretty much a neopphyte to FMF site. It is unusual for me to spend this much time at home and in front of the computer, but I'm writing an NOI, a Notice Of Intent, letting the Federal Government know that we will be drilling a gold deposit north of Kingman. I will certainly post photos from there as the vein is zoned. Gold occurs with Vanadinite on the 100 level, and it gives way to gold and wulfenite on the 300 level. The crystals are small, but it is still a stunning thing to see a bright reddish orange wulfenite sitting jauntily on wire gold. Give me a little more time, probably next week, and I'll put some pictures up.
Thanks for the interest. Have a great weekend.
Ed

Hi, Jordi!
Therefore the best thing to do is just ignore the Folch's specimen label. Perhaps both pieces (and note that I say "perhaps") came from the same place. A simple search at Mindat.org shows that Novo Horizonte must be the actual locality of my hematite/rutile.
Thank you for your help.
