Thanks Chris. If you consider ice a mineral, the digging's darn good, the crystals are abundant, and very white, but I'm here on business.

Quartz with arenite texture.
Probable field of view: 3 mm.
It's an odd TS, I like it.

Hi Vic,
It's a nice thin section. Quartz are gray-bluish grains. The black spots correspond to grains of quartz in extinction. Stilpnomelane happens to be the brain of Santa Claus.
At least, that's what I see in this TS.
