The first ones you posted looked like crystalline calcite while the latter ones looked more like simple limestone nodules. That said they are neat shapes

Thanks they are pretty cool. I loaded up on them with no goal or plan, but figured I would sort it out.
Can you tell what type of calcite these are? I was told either honey or dogtooth.

Brandon H, Your question refers to 2 different things. Dogtooth calcites are steep scalenohedral crystals. Honey calcite, to my knowledge, is a color that calcite crystals can be. So, it would be possible to have honey colored dogtooth calcite crystals. Bob

Thanks Bob appreciate all your help. I'm new at this minerals, crystal was Rock thing, but I enjoy learning about it. I just wanted to get a good description of these things so I can describe them to friends and family.
