I have not seen many beryl crystals with hollow cavities (or tubes) that long. It's down to the lower halve of the front crystal... or maybe even more? Very likely due to a rapid growth mechanism...

You have good eyesight. The tubes of larger diameter are more than half way down the twin crystals, but there are finer tubes lower down. It is very nice to hear from you.
