Hi, Dany.
Thank you, I'm fine, although waiting for the vaccine...
As far as I know, needle quartz often occurs with the Dauphiné habit in Val Bedretto (and many other Alpine localities).
It is not difficult to distinguish it. A rhombohedral face (of the termination...) is quite larger than the others, sometimes a little and sometimes a lot, creating in the second case, a so called flute beak shape.
I'm sure now you will find some among your Alpine quartzes. Good luck.
Stay safe.
Sante

For example, in the needle quartz from Bedretto Valley that you posted on july 10th 2019 there are many. :-)

Hi Dany,
are you sure, that your last needle quartz is really quartz? I am quite sure, that I see some dovetail twins, and also the overall habit makes me think of gypsum. What is the hardness of these crystals?
Maybe I am wrong, my eyes sometimes are not that good as I want.

Thanks James, Jordi and Volkmar.
You're right. "The Chinese Fluorite won the fight against the Swiss Gypsum". You must not always trust the seller.
Could someone change the mineral name and keep only Switzerland for the provenance ?
Have a nice Sunday and keep safe.

Sorry Dany,
Your first hematite (with quartz) is not hematite, but nice silvery muscovite plates, as far as I see.
